5:57 PM Apple adds The Beatles Catalog to iTunes
Apple has finally added The Beatles catalog to the iTunes store. At last, Apple Corps, the company founded by The Beatles has agreed to let Apple Computer sell The Beatles album via iTunes Store. Fans can buy 13 remastered studio albums of Beatles with iTunes LP content, two-volume Past Masters compilation and the classic Red as well as Blue collections would be available for purchase and download. Michael Arrington went berserk stating that 17 albums of Beatles are already listed in the current Top 100 best selling albums. Apple has also put up a dedicated Beatles page - http://www.apple.com/the-beatles/. Apple is offering single albums for purchase and download for $12.99 each, double albums for $19.99 each and individual songs for $1.29 each. We aren't offering Indian conversions as the Apple iTunes Store doesn't sell music in India. In case you're a Beatles fan outside U.S., I suppose you'll succumb to illegitimate ways like download via Torrents. Looks like the iTunes Live Stream feature will take the back seat at the moment.
