5:15 PM Apple's Social Network Ping Arrives on the iPad
Apple's music centered social network Ping is now usable on the iPad. With the new updated iTunes App for Apple iPad, users can use Ping on it, reported 9to5Mac. The iPhone had Ping support just before Apple released the iOS 4.1 update. And we already know that iOS 4.2 update is due soon but stuck up due to a nasty Wi-Fi issue. We'd like to remind you again that Ping is STILL not available in India and several other countries.
Apple still doesn't offer iPad in India and several other countries. Several potential buyers eagerly await its arrival while Apple continues focusing on 'region-closed' social network. Ping was launched in September and boasted to have 1 million users in a few2 days. Used by music artists and music lovers, the Ping social network revolves around liking a track, commenting, and also a section for concerts. Last week, Twitter and Ping announced the integration which now has been implemented in the iTunes App for iPad. So now, when you hit the Like button and post about a music on Ping, it automatically gets shared on Twitter with the iTunes link. All we can do is hope to see iPad released officially in India and the rest of the countries. Otherwise, there are several other options such as Samsung Galaxy Tab and Dell Streak available in the Indian markets.
