BMW plans to lead the Indian auto market

BMW, the German Car manufacturer that stands for luxury, style, elegance and class has always lured the market with its presence. Founded in 1916, the luxury car maker is known for the craftsmenship it shows with each product. The products are portal of greatest inventions and innovations of technology, features, looks, style and comfort. The Luxury car BMW has always lived upto the expectations of its admirers.

BMW made its mark in the world auto market and time and again it has shown its worth. BMW has always faced competition with its arch rivals Mercedes which is in no means less that BMW.

BMW and Mercedes has always been neck to neck in the Indian market. There is always a constant battle going on between the two to achieve the number one position in the market. BMW currently lost it numerno uno position from Mercedes in the Indian auto market. But BMW is sure to achieve its position back.

To achieve the number one position again BMW is making quite a few significant changes in its models which is sure to make it to the top again. The new BMW 7 series models will be equipped with BMW Navigational Professional which will bring in more of the on board system options. The Navigational Professional will be functioning on board iDrive control coupled with GPD and as wide as 10.2 inch to make sure high visually. The display is affixed with high resolution with black and blue lights. The navigation system includes an array of features such as automatic display of where you are, the ways to the desired destination, verbal or and displayed view of the areas you are willing to go, it even gives you the Pin area of the destination.

According to the president of BMW India, BMW is accredited with being the the first car maker in Europe to have come out with such an advanced technology crafted technology with perfection in the series that dates back to the year 1994.

BMW has no plans to stop here. The luxury brand is launching BMW X1 in India which will come with a price tag of 24 lacs. This announcement has already created ripple between its rivals Honda CRV, Chevrolet Captiva, Toyota Forturner, Nissan X-Trail and Ford Endeavor.

BMW is alo planning to launch BMW mini in India which is expected to come in few cities like Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi by 2011. It will come in two or three variants in Cooper hatch and will be rolled out from the Oxfordshire, UK, Cowley facility.
