Reading every bit on information from multiple sources while you're on a move is quite a challenge. So now, Google engineers have released a fresh Google Reader App for Android phones. Google Reader is a free service that lets users add RSS feeds from several resources and read them in one browser window. New Google Reader for Android App will let RSS feed addicts add multiple accounts, sync feeds from existing Google Reader account and access more features.
Google Reader as an RSS feed reader gained mass popularity over a couple of early ones like Bloglines (which is now shut down). Google Account users just have to opt for this service and keep adding as many RSS resources as they want to. Catching up with the latest posts by several blogs and information published by websites becomes easy for users and they get to read the initial snippet of an entire blog post, news story or article. Thanks to Google's Multiple Account Sign in feature, you can get RSS feeds from several accounts in single app. Of course the basic features like unread, friends, shared, liked and starred posts exist.
- Multiple accounts - Synced preferences - Full subscription features (subscribe and search from your phone) - Search Developers of Google Reader App for Android have also added some key shortcuts that can be used for quick navigation within the app's user interface. - Volume-key navigation: if you enable this in the settings, you can navigate by using your phone's volume keys for next and previous - Long-press on a folder or subscription for contextual menu to rename, unsubscribe or change folders - Hit Menu key on an individual item to use the "send" feature which integrates with other apps for sending that item via any third-party app. Google Reader App is available for free and is compatible with phones running Android 2.0 Donut or higher. | |
