11:06 AM MySpace Creates Mashup with Facebook
MySpace is one of the widely used social networks despite unfortunate incidents that include user data leaks to campsite for pedophiles. Now MySpace has launched a new Mashup to Facebook feature to keep up with fiercely growing social networks like Facebook and Twitter. MySpace will let users log in via their Facebook ID and then pull their Likes data to follow updates from their favorite artists, bands, TV Show actors and entertainers. Users can also connect their MySpace account with Facebook. Last month MySpace revamped the site user interface centered around music and entertainment. Truly, MySpace is a grindhouse of several indie artists and bands to gain a larger audience. And now the new revamped MySpace literally oozes with streams of data information - trends, topics, videos and games. Get started by visiting MySpace.com website and creating a profile based on the info put on Facebook. This has been made possible by the Connect with Facebook button on the MySpace page. However, Mashup with Facebook is an opt-in feature, so you can choose not to go for it. Both MySpace and Facebook boast of this Mashup feature built using robust algorithms for enabling the discovery, expression and connection to entertainment content. By enabling this Mashup, MySpace has indirectly acknowledged that Facebook indeed is the bigger Social Network out of both. MySpace is now focusing only on Music and entertainment genres on its website. Don' t be surprised if you see Ping, music centered social network integration with MySpace in future. At the end of the day, how many of you religiously log on to MySpace for following Music and the Entertainment buzz? MySpace also plans to bring the Like functionality. What we really didn't get is the MySpace logo; when you hover the mouse pointer on it a creeper rolls out to drop eyeballs. Creepy indeed.
