In a sterile, sanitised and politically correct tool that modern gaming has become, the Postal franchise stood out like a sore thumb for non gamers; scandalising all and sundry. For old school gamers, Postal 2 was one of the few remaining beacons of kickassery putting the medium of gaming to the right use - to do things which would otherwise be impossible and frowned upon in real life. That it delivered by the spades, with a sandbox approach that eschewed plot to let the player go on a homicidal rampage marked by a level violence that was only surpassed by its weirdness. Postal 2 sets you out on mundane activities like getting grocery or visiting the bank, but it's totally up to you to decide whether to go about it like a Good Samaritan or a deranged serial killer.

After building a cult following for its cat silencers and Gary Coleman, fans were in dark about any developments on a sequel. However, armchair anarchists are in for a treat because Running With Scissor's Vince Desi has confirmed the coming of a sequel. Speaking to Joystiq, Desi confirmed, "It's in the final stages in Moscow, I don't think it will come out this Christmas." It's disappointing to hear that we won't get to go slaughter happy this Christmas, but expect to spill blood by the gallons in 2011. Those who loved Uwe Boll's surprisingly good film adaptation of Postal 2 will be chuffed to hear that the man himself will feature in Postal 3. This also means the Uwe Boll haters get to exact revenge in the most sadistically violent ways. So I guess everyone except the Germans should be happy.
