10:57 AM WikiLeaks ousted from Amazon.com Servers
On 28th November, Wikileaks.org, a website famous for exposing leaked documentation not to be seen by the general population, released 2,51,287 of what supposedly were United States Embassy cables (that contain confidential communication between 274 embassies in countries throughout the world). According to their Twitter page, Amazon.com, that sells bandwidth services and were hosting their website, booted it out of their servers.
The decision to drop Wikileaks off from their servers came after members of the Senate's Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee probed Amazon, asking them to explain their connection to the outlaw website. While the whereabouts of the founder of Wikileaks, a man by the name Julian Assange, are not known. But he did shame Amazon for their decision to boot out his website off their servers, and said that he'd rather spend his money to employ people in Europe instead (by that we assume he meant using a European server). We tried accessing the website and it seems to be working at the time of writing.
