Wonder what’s common between Oprah Winfrey, Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga? No doubt these women are exceptionally influential, but what makes them so is a common factor — their sexuality. These women seem to exercise their sexuality and clearly it catapulted them to power. Even Cleopatra or Eva Peron didn’t just bumble their way to success without playing on their sexuality.
Pop sensation Christina Aguilera has revealed that sexuality is a very important part of her life and she uses it to express herself. "Sexuality is such a freedom. Sexuality is where I feel a lot of times I get to express my voice,” The Daily Telegraph quoted her as telling a magazine. "Throughout the ages, women are always shamed for it or labelled for it and so it makes me feel empowered to give it a voice and to stand up for it and to be strong about it,” she added. Psychologist and relationship therapist Dr. Seema Hingoranny explains that once a woman discovers her sexuality and accepts it, she empowers herself like never before. ""For one, this makes the woman much more confident," she says. She also adds that there are many ways a woman can express herself through her sexuality. "Like, a woman is always more compassionate and diplomatic than a man, which makes her a good at dealing with relationships." Bollywood film actor BarkhaBisht also says using her sexuality works in her favour. "I am in the entertainment industry and my sexuality works for my advantage. There's nothing cheap about it. I really admire Malaika Arora Khan for the classy way in which she presents herself thisway,” she declares. On the other hand, fellow actor Mrinalini Sharma finds that being well-read is equally crucial. "I can look hot as ever but if I can’t hold a conversation with the other person then it is all in vain,” she says. |
