Health benefits of ‘Garudasana’

Yoga proposes a number of poses involving simple body twists. Garudasana or Eagle pose is an excellent asana to flexion the joints.
Method:
1. Stand erect and lift one leg and twine it around the other leg.
2. Lock the ankle of the other leg with the toes of twisted leg.
3. When leg twisting is well secured, try the arm and hand twist by twining one arm around the other.
4. Join the palms against each other
5. Maintain the pose for some time and than return to the normal position.
Benefits:
The posture helps to loosen the joints by flexing and stretching the muscles of the shoulders, elbows, hips, knees and ankles. The asana ensures complete freedom of movements for various joints.
