Our office has become second home for most of us. We spend so much time at the workstation in the office that it leaves with less time and even lesser energy to hit the gym. Office, too, can be a great platform to maintain a fit lifestyle. Here’s how… • The easiest of all the tips this one is. Keep a bottle of water handy and keep sipping water. Drinking plenty of water is important to flush out the toxins, maintain the smooth functioning of the digestive system and simply stay hydrated. It also gives you the required energy to manage stressful office work. You can also drink coconut water, buttermilk or lemonade to stay fresh in office. • Move your lazy bum whenever you get a chance to do so. Take frequent walks around the cubicle, if time permits you. Take stairs instead of the elevators. Just simple exercises like these will help you feeling less worn out and fatigued. • Sitting for long hours often ends up in giving you back and neck pain. Therefore, it’s important to stretch your body in between. Simply stretch your arms and legs while sitting on the chair. It eases stress and keeps your body agile. • Samosas, pakoras, chips and cookies are a regular feature at the workstations of employees. Stop destroying your system like that! Pack healthy snacks and veggies to gorge on in office. • Hit the recreation area of the office whenever possible.
