‘Mandukasana’ controls the abdominal gases
 


If abdominal gases trouble you, then practicing ‘Mandukasana’ in the morning and evening can be quite beneficial. The posture in its full form resembles ‘Frog’ therefore it is termed as ‘Mandukasana’.
Sequence:
- Kneel down and place your buttocks on your toes.
- Join your fists and place them near umbilicus.
- Inhale and slowly bend forward till your chest touches the knees
- Retain the posture for 5 seconds
- Exhale and slowly return to the starting position
- Repeat the process 3 to 5 times

Benefits:
- The asana provides massage to all abdominal organs, thus activating them to function properly.
- Controls obesity.
- Controls indigestion and gas formation.
- The pain of knees, ankles and toes is removed.
- Controls high blood pressure.
- The asana is quite beneficial in expelling out the gases of upper abdominal track from upper openings of the body and of lower track from lower openings.
- Practicing the asana keeps gastric disorders at bay.

Warning: Persons suffering from cervical spondylitis and cardiac problems should avoid practicing this asana.
