Plants grown in a house not only enhance its beauty but also influence the Vaastu of the place. They result in several negative and positive energies. Here are some useful tips:
- Refrain from using artificial flowers for decorating the house because they invite excess sunshine and odor. Feng shui also prohibits the use of artificial flowers.
- Cycas, Acalypha Aralia, Philodendron and Areca palm flowers can be planted in the house as they bear pretty leaves.
- Fragrant flowers like Magnolia, Plumeria, Jasmine and Bella (a variety of jasmine), are permitted in Vaastu Shastra but they should be grown outdoors.
- Grow tall and dense trees in the South or West portion of the house. Do take care while planting them and plant at a distance from the outer walls of the house.
- Basil (Tulsi) plant is considered to be very auspicious and propitious. It has multiple uses. This small herb is capable of filling the surroundings with pure air as it has medicinal properties.
